CURRICULUM OUTLINE

CLASS THREE – Starting with Peer Interviews

1) Students break into groups of three (groups should be composed of students who aren't very familiar with each other)

  1. Student #1 is a interviewer
  2. Student #2 is the interviewee
  3. Student #3 is an observer

2) Interviewer asks questions of interviewee for five minutes

3) Observer provides feedback, relating to listening skills and questions asked

4) Students rotate roles until each student has had an opportunity to be the interviewer

5) Class discussion about the interviews

  1. What worked and what didn't work, in terms of interviewing skills?
  2. How did it feel asking personal question?
  3. How did it feel answering personal questions?
